I have known Mark all of my life. We worked together, played together, camped together, and was in the Air Force together. Mark and Lynn hosted me in their apartment when we were both at Keesler AFB in Mississippi. I also got to stay with them for a few days between graduation and my flight back to NY right before Christmas in 1973. We were both in school to learn Avionics Maintenance. I ended up working on cargo planes while Mark worked on fighters. He got out after 4 years while I stayed in for 20. Did not know about all of his other jobs but knew he was probably great at each. I am so sad that we never got together much after our early lives as friends and neighbors.

With my great friend, Mark Veety, who I have known since 1969, I have enjoyed bicycling in NYS & Vermont, canoeing in the Adirondacks, hiking the Grand Canyon, motorcycling the Catskills & Shawangunks, touring twisty roads in many states, countless board games/conversations, family fun & much more. We each have had the best good fortune to marry one of the Pirog sisters. RIP, my friend.
