Obituary of Lyndal Smith Perry

Lyndal Smith Perry of Carrboro passed away peacefully at Parkview Health & Rehabilitation Center August 23, 2022. She was 94.

A lifelong resident of Carrboro and member of the Carrboro United Methodist Church, Lyndal devoted her life to family. She took pride in not just caring for her granddaughter but also her four great grandchildren, Madelyn, Alexander, Nicholas and Lilly. A well-loved Aunt by many nephews and nieces. She will be deeply missed by so all.

 A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Westwood Cemetery in Carrboro with Pastor Gina Barrow and Joe Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends and family at graveside immediately following the service.

Lyndal is survived by her son, Doug Perry of Carrboro; a brother, Arnold Smith and sister-in-law, LaVern of Chapel Hill; one granddaughter, Dawn Neakta (Javad) and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her two sisters, Marcelle Schaub and Inez McFarling; and brother James Smith.
