Obituary of Glenda Mae Solomon

Glenda N. Solomon, age 80 of Mebane, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. Glenda was born on November 12, 1941 and was the daughter of Roba Lee Norman and Fannie Cameron Norman who both preceded her in death.  Also, preceded in death by her brother Ronnie Norman.

Glenda is survived by her husband David Solomon; her two sons Darrell Solomon (Laurie), Keith Solomon (Ava); sister Hazel Stevenson; grandchildren Kristy Moore, Jennifer Solomon, Chad Solomon, Katherine Douglas, Kristie Maynard; great grandchildren Cale Solomon, Cayson Moore, Noah Solomon, Elaynah Guzman, Daniel Guzman, Benjamin Guzman, William Douglas, Jacob Douglas.  Cousins, nieces and nephews plus anyone she met she made them feel like family.

Glenda attended Graham Full Gospel Tabernacle and Edgewood Baptist Church. She worked at Dixie Yarns for 30+ years.  She was very active in organizing the Dixie Yarn Reunion. She enjoyed baking so much that she received a diploma in Baking & Decorating at Alamance Community College and was a devout UNC Tar Heels fan.

Both her visitation and funeral service will be held at Graham Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 109 Webster Road, Graham NC 27253. Visitation will be Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM and the funeral service officiated by Reverend Kevin Barbour will be at noon. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, 500 E. Washington Street, Mebane NC 27302 following the service.
