Obituary of Edward Wilson Clark

It is with great sadness that the family of Edward W. Clark announces his passing on July 27,2022 at the age of 96 years. Ed was born in Chapel Hill on September 5, 1925 to the late Eddie F. Clark and Jeppie Pendergrass. He will be remembered by his partner of many years, Barbara Sparrow, his children Lonnie Clark and Dr. Cheryl Clark, four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Annie M. Clark, grandson Jason Edward Clark, daughter Dr. Phyllis Clark Green, and son David Alan Clark. Except for the time spent serving in the Marines during WWII, Ed lived his entire life in the Chapel Hill area. After returning home from WWII, he ran a trucking business and later, sold cars. Ed will be buried at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery.
