EFLAND - Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" Paulson (Koonce) Moore, 81, of Efland, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Hospice Home of Alamance.
Mrs. Moore was born on January 22, 1931 in New York, She was the daughter of the late John W. and Alice Stewart Paulson; and wife of the late James Henry Moore. She was retired from GoldToe, a homemaker and a member of Crossroad Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Velma K. (Lutterloh) Wagoner and husband, Norman of Burlington, Mary K. Sturzenbecker and husband, James of Myrtle Beach, SC, Peggy K. (Dudley) Hopkins and husband, Kenneth of Efland, Lou Ann K. (Carson) Wagoner of Efland; and her son: Sgt 1st class Wayne H. Koonce, III of Fort Knox, KY; and one sister: Dorothy P. McDaniel of Elkton, MD. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Daniel Lee Hopkins and Faith Sturzenbecker; 2 great grandchildren: Kaleb Morgan Curtis and Jackson Gabe Dudley; 1 brother: Jack Paulson; and 2 sisters: Adela Ruth and Joan Paulson.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Walker's Funeral Home Chapel of Mebane by her grandson Pastor Eric Dudley. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11:45AM to 12:45 PM, Thursday prior to services at Walker's Funeral Home and other times at the home of Lou Ann Wagoner, 4515 High Rock Road, Efland, NC 27243
The family wishes to express their love and gratitude to Pamela Flynn for the loving care, encouragement and the help that she gave to their mom in her final days.
