Obituary of Richard Earmon Andrews

HILLSBOROUGH- Mr. Richard Earmon Andrews, 65, died Sunday, September 9, 2012. Mr. Andrews was born on July 16, 1947 in Orange Co, NC to the late Dallas Samuel and Essie Mae Medlin Andrews. In Feb. of this year he lost his loving wife, Judi Blackwell Andrews. He attended Orange County Schools and was a 2nd generation member of the Moose Lodge and was a painter. Richard was fun loving and always had a story to tell. He was kind hearted, giving and never met a stranger. He had a great love for all children. His greatest gift was making everyone laugh, He was good at that. He is survived by his sons: Michael E. Andrews, Sr. (Kathy) of Mebane and Greg Andrews (Shannon) of Efland; daughters: Lesa A. Kendrick (Bill) of Cedar Grove, Susan Carter-Hainline (Tom) of Durham, and Beth Copley (Tom) of Durham; brother: Harold Andrews (Linda) of SC; sister: Priscilla A. Case (Phillip) of TN; grandchildren: Michael Andrews, Jr., Lance Cpl Matthew C. Andrews, Olivia Autrey, Chris Andrews, Rivers Andrews, Dallas Andrews, Taelor Chrisco, Andrew Wade, Caitlyn O'Mary, and Meaghan O'Mary. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Skippy and Benny Ray Andrews. He also leaves behind his two best buddies, Trixie and Dixie, his 2 dogs. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Walker's Funeral Home and other times the family will be at Greg Andrews home, 3314 Lebanon Rd., Efland, NC. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 2:00 at Walker's Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. James Bank. Interment will follow in Efland UMC Cemetery (Brookhollow). Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough, 204 N.
