Obituary of Mary Irene Vallimont

Mary Irene Vallimont of Clearfield, PA, passed away at Duke Medical Center on September 23th, 2012, after a short illness. Her viewing will be held in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frenchville, PA, on Saturday, September 29th at 9 AM followed by a memorial mass at 10 AM. Mary was born on January 9th, 1941. The daughter of the late Alovsius (ollie) Vallimont and Lucy Renoe Vallimont of 227 Clark Street, Clearfield, PA.
Mary graduated from St. Francis High School, going on to receive a Bachelors degree in teaching from Villa Marie College, Erie, PA. She taught for several years prior to moving to Rochester, NY, where she worked as a computer specialist for Eastman Kodak. She retired after 25 years of service in 1997.
Mary loved nature and animals filling her home and her garden with beautiful flowers, sharing generously with everyone. She enjoyed walking her Britney Spaniels through wooded parks and nature trails. Mary considered her greatest accomplishment, she spent many years compiling an extensive family history complete with pictures and legal documents dating back to the 12th century. She wanted to pass on to her children (nieces and nephews) an historical foundation for their lives and generations to come.
Mary will be missed by her two brothers: Louis Vallimont of New Jersey and John Vallimont of Virginia, and her three sisters: Helen Hay of Bermuda, Anne Lielo of Clearfield, PA and Clare Kellett of North Carolina and 15 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.
