Prospect Hill - Mr. Alfred James "Jimmy" Snipes, III, died September 30, 2012, in his home.
He was born in Durham County to the late Effie Laws Snipes and Alfred James Snipes, Jr. He
grew up in Hillsborough and attended the Orange County Schools. He served in the armed
forces during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed his family, friends, and Nascar. He was a member
of Prospect Hill American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Sawyers Snipes, his daughter, Kimberly S. Valentine (Justin),
Prospect Hill, four brothers: Russell Snipes (Lynn), Lloyd Snipes, Wanet Snipes (Debra), and
Donald Snipes (Janet), and three grandchildren: Skyler Valentine, Jaden Valentine, and
Shyann Valentine.
Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Thursday in Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
