Glen Orville Coleman, age 66, passed away on May 2, 2021 at his residence in Thomasville, NC.
Glen was born April 8, 1955, in Durham, NC to the late Ted Ellis Coleman and Esther Marie Kots Coleman. He moved to Minnesota with his family in 1957, where he attended school. He joined the Army after graduating high school and served for 10 years. Glen had a mobile home delivery business, drove a monster truck, worked for Purina Mills and most recently had an indoor air quality/mold inspection business. He was also a business development coach. Glen loved to help others and did so every opportunity he could.
At 52 years of age, he made his choice to serve God which totally changed his course in life. He spent several years as primary care giver for his brother James. After James’s decease, Glen took on caregiver role for his Dad, and continued faithfully until his Dad moved into an assisted living facility.
In addition to his parents, Glen was predeceased by two brothers, Eric and James.
He is survived by his fiancé, Leanne Whiffen, former wife, Jenny Coleman and former wife, Gail Coleman; children, Aaron, Lesley, Caleb (Lilly), Seth, Dana, & Emily; Grandchildren, Sally, Layla, Karmony, Zelena, Maeve, Millicent, Maisyn & Aliyah. Brothers, Ralph (Miriam), Ron (Dee), Gene (Carla); Sisters, Mary (Leon), Florene (Tim). He is also survived by Aunt Frances Coleman, Aunt Goldie and Uncle Max Bowman, Uncle George Headrick, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, & great nieces and nephews.
Glen Coleman's funeral service will be this Saturday, May 8, 2021. All are welcome! The visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Walker's Funeral Home , 204 N. Churton St. Hillsborough, NC 27278. The funeral service will be at 4:30 pm at the Coleman Family Cemetery, 2504 Woods Loop Road, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541. If possible, please bring a lawn chair to the funeral service. There will be seating available for any who aren’t able to bring a chair. A Zoom link will be provided for those unable to attend the funeral service and will be recorded for later viewing.
