Obituary of Peggy B. Miller

Peggy Miller, age 66, passed away on Saturday September 19, 2020 at 5:05 AM at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill NC. She was born on September 21, 1953 in Durham to the late Lawrence James Bennett and Dorothy Ashley Bennett. Peggy was a retired teacher. Peggy was a wonderful and caring educator at Central Elementary School for 26 years where she shined as a reading and phonics teacher. Peggy truly cared for all the children she had the pleasure to teach, as well as her co-worker Sarah Roney whom she loved dearly.

Peggy is survived by her Mother Dorothy Bennett two Daughters Heather Miller and Kristen Brooke Miller and two sons Steven Trey Carden and Jeremy Heith Miller.  Peggy is survived by two sisters Denise Bennett Morrison and Patricia Gates, but is preceded in death by one other sister, Joyce Talbert. 

Seven Grandchildren whom she loved dearly; Cayden Riley Hill, Devyn Crittenton, Kylen Crittenton, Brayden Robbins, Landyn Robbins, Austin Sloan and Kristen Taylor Lassiter.

The Family had received visitors from 6PM to 8PM on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at Walkers Funeral Home in Hillsborough 204 N. Churton Street Hillsborough NC 27278.

The Funeral Services were held at the Walker’s Funeral Home in Hillsborough on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM by Reverend Ken Tilley. Burial followed at Rosewood Cemetery in Hillsborough after the service. Pallbearers were Trey Carden, Jeremy Miller, Devyn Crittenton, Kylen Crittenton, Chris Hill,  and James Moore.

She was such a blessing to everyone and her faith was unmeasurable.  She always had a positive attitude to what life was throwing her way.
