Obituary of Kenneth Wadford Cash

Kenneth Wadford Cash, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, August 23, 2020 at UNC Hospital with his wife, Donna Cash, of 43 years by his side.
Ken is survived by his wife Donna Crabtree Cash and his beloved sons Chris and wife Allison, and Mark, all of Chapel Hill; four much loved grandchildren, Courtney, Chase, Carson and Colin; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ken was the son of the late Wadford M. Cash and the late Miriam Arrington of Oxford.
He graduated from J.F. Webb High in 1964 where he played trumpet in the marching band. He was often asked to play Taps at funerals. He graduated from Chowan College in 1966 with an Associate Degree in Graphic Arts. He was a veteran of the US Air Force during the Vietnam era. He played several instruments and was a member of multiple bands over the years. He and Donna owned and operated Village Instant Printing in Chapel Hill from 1981 until they retired in 2009. He supported his sons through 10 years of go-kart racing and 10 years of auto racing. He loved dogs, classic muscle cars, collecting pocket knives, and a good joke. His smile and humor will be missed by family and friends.
