Obituary of Helen Alease Mace

                Alease Shanklin Mace, 97, of 6517 US 70, Mebane passed away at her residence on Friday, July 31, 2020. She was the wife of the late Carl Payton Mace and the daughter of Samuel Augustus Shanklin Sr. and Bessie Denson Shanklin, both deceased.

                Alease is survived by a two children a daughter, Nancy Mace Poteat and her husband Ronald, and a son Carl Jerry Mace Sr. and his late wife Jackie Mace. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Alease was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Payton Mace and John L. Mace, and 4 siblings, Susie Wood, Johnny Shanklin, Sam Shanklin and Jack Shanklin.

                A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00am at Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane, North Carolina.
