Obituary of Kaitlin June Fredrickson

Kaitlin June Fredrickson, age 14 of Mebane, North Carolina, passed away on July 29, 2020. She was born in Akron, OH on July 23, 2006, the youngest daughter of Brian Fredrickson and Candace Granger Fredrickson. Kaitlin was a talented Alto Saxophonist and Baritone Saxophonist in the Hawfields Middle School Advanced Band, as well as a gifted Soprano Vocalist in the Hawfields Middle School Select Chorus. Something Kaitlin was particularly passionate about was helping others and emphasizing the importance of friendliness towards others. Kaitlin’s life may have been short-lived, but the impact she left on everyone she knew will be lifelong.

Kaitlin is survived by her loving parents, Brian and Candace Fredrickson, her beautiful older sister, Isabella Fredrickson, her grandparents, Philip and Susan Granger and Michael and Sharon Counterman, her aunt and uncle, Randy and Susan Granger, her uncle, Chris Fredrickson, and her cousins, Austin Granger and Brandon Granger, Ashley, Hayley, and Sydney Fredrickson.

A viewing will be held at Walker’s Funeral Home in Mebane, North Carolina on Monday, August 3, from 6pm to 8pm. A service will be held on August 4 for family only.

In lieu of flowers, please help the Fredrickson family in honoring Kaitlin’s legacy by raising money for the Hawfields Middle School Band, who was like a second family to her.
