Obituary of Frances Boyd Sawyer

ROUGEMONT - Mrs. Frances Minnis Boyd Sawyer, 83, died Friday, February 15, 2013. She was born in Danville, VA, to the late Fannie Minnis and Grover C. Boyd. She was educated in the Efland and Hillsborough schools. She was employed by Carr's Supermarket for many years. Surviving are three daughters: Susan Marcom, Timberlake, Faye Gates, Rougemont, and Paige Sawyer-Brown, Hillsborough; one sister, Dessie Mae Smith, Durham, one brother, George Boyd (Gladys), Efland; six grandchildren: Diane Goodin (Mark), Chris Marcom (Carrie), Jonathan Marcom, Sue Ann Gentry (Ricky), Robert Cecil (Danielle) and Lilly Sawyer- Brown and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Britton Sawyer and her sister, Ruth Squires. Funeral Services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, February 19, in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Earl Echols. Burial will be in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Monday, February 18, in Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough. www.walkersfuneralservice.com
