Obituary of Mary Edna Henderson

Mary Edna Chadwick Henderson, of Chapel Hill, NC, passed surrounded by her family on October 18th, 2018 at the age of 82 years old.

Mary Edna is survived by her 3 daughters, Genny Wrenn and husband, Jimmy, of Hillsborough, Lisa Floyd and husband, Tim, of Raleigh, and Teresa Lindsay and husband, Dwayne, of Salisbury, NC, and daughter-in-law, Sarah, of Chapel Hill; her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, sister, and two brothers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Henderson; her son, Keith Henderson; her parents, Clifton and Geneva Chadwick; and her brother Bryan Chadwick.

Mary Edna was born on October 13th, 1936 in Jacksonville, NC to Clifton and Geneva Chadwick. She married the love of her life and lived life to the fullest. Together they raised four wonderful children. They taught them traditional family values which are carried out to this day. She enjoyed living, laughing, and loving with everyone. Working side by side with her husband and children brought her lots of joy.

Mary Edna passed away due to a brief illness.

A funeral service was held on Saturday October 20th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Walker's Funeral Home, 120 West Franklin St. Chapel Hill, NC.

The Henderson family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill.
