A Hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Pat exemplified all of these and so much more. Pat truly was our Warrior Woman Hero. You never heard Pat complain that she was in pain. Through it all Pat always kept a smile on her face, to match the size of her Big Heart. Pat’s laughter and sense of humor brightened the lives of so many like a warm ray of sunshine. Her Positive Attitude, Strength, Determination, Faith and Love of Life aided her in her long journey, particularly these last several years. Pat was a beautiful and uplifting Spirit and Friend to me and many others. Pat was my best forever friend. We laughed, cried and danced through life’s challenges, and the many miracles and positive experiences we shared. Pat, I love you so very much and will miss you more than words can convey. You helped me to become a better person and for this I will always be grateful. You were and will remain the Wind Beneath My Wings. I am blessed to have had you in my life, and am thankful to God for allowing our paths to cross over 10 years ago. Pat always seized each day, each hour and every single minute. She lived her life on her own terms and surely lived it with great Gusto. Pat will remain in our hearts, our minds, and our souls forever as our Guardian Angel, reminding us to be the best that we can be, and to live life to the fullest. May you rest in peace dear Sweet Loved One! Godspeed!

Pat was a spirited lady! She put her all in helping those in need. She helped in my class, volunteered many, many hours in Seawell's library, and even helped doing things for our school when she couldn't come in anymore due to immune system. Pat, you were always smiling and joking when I saw you! You truly fought this cancer like a warrior! You're resilience always amazed me. God just needed one of his best fighters to come home and rest so although you're gone, you have left memories for all you came in contact with. To Jo and Pat's family, I am so sorry for your loss! May God comfort and give you peace in this time of loss. May memories of her and her laughter bring smiles to you. I think she'd want smiles instead of tears as we remember her.
