Obituary of Carolyn Bell Carolyn Bell, 64, died Monday evening at UNC Hospitals, with her family by her side. Carolyn was a huge James Taylor fan and loved everything UNC. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling. Carolyn was a NICU nurse at UNC and then went on to start her own clinical research consulting company for the last 25 years until she retired in December 2017. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bill W. Bell of Chapel Hill, NC; children, Dory Lemieux, and her husband, Brian, of Orleans, VT, Michael Bell, and his wife, Randle, of Mt. Juliet, TN; Jennifer Holt, and her husband, Brian, of Cary, NC, Kelly Whittemore and her husband, Lail, of Medina, TN; grandchildren, Zach and Tristin Holt, Addi, Emmi, Annie, and Eliza Whittemore, Vin and Burchett Bell, and Gabrielle and Madalyn Cappelletti; brothers, Eddie Parker, and his wife, Viola, of Lockesburg, AR, Billy Parker, of Camden, AR, Jimmy Parker, and his wife, Flora, of Camden, AR. A memorial service celebrating Carolyn's life was held on Friday, June 29, at 11:00am in the Chapel of Walker's Funeral Home, officiating was Rev. MJ Tucci.
