Obituary of Dorothy Fowler Daniell

Dorothy Meares Fowler Daniell, 72, was surrounded by family as she peacefully entered Heaven from her home in Morrisville on January 29, 2018.

Born January 3, 1946 to the late John Thomas and Louise Palmer Coleman Fowler, she was a 1964 South Mecklenburg High School graduate, and a 1969 UNCC graduate.  She also attended UNCG.  Dotty worked with Eastern Airlines for 25 years, and with American Express for 10 years in Greensboro and Durham.

Dotty leaves a legacy of love with all those who were blessed to know her.  She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, William Miller Daniell; their children, Billy Daniell of New York, Jason and Joanne Daniell Boswell of High Point, Louise Daniell of Kernersville, John Daniell of Morrisville, and Steven and Catherine Daniell Lusher of Las Vegas; two beautiful grandchildren, Abigail Ann and Annabelle Lee Lusher; sisters, Bianca Fowler of Lenoir, Martha Fowler of Charlotte, Kate Hurley of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and “unofficially adopted” children.

In addition to her parents, Dotty was preceded in death by her brother, Edward John Fowler.

All who know and love her are invited to celebrate her Life on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Road, Charlotte, NC.

Dotty donated her body to medical research, so she will be laid to rest in the Old Cemetery at UNC Chapel Hill at a later date.
