Charles Bernard “Chuck” Hodson II, 64, of Mebane, NC died December 2, 2017 surrounded by friends and family at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.
A native of Chapel Hill, Chuck served in the US Army before dedicating 30+ years to UNC Hospitals as a lab technician. Retirement afforded him the time to pursue his great love of music, playing often with the band Mebanesville. Never at a loss for friends, he shared his love of music, golf, bicycling and Mexican food with many. His kind and generous spirit, as well as his never-ending patience, will be missed by all who knew him. simply put, he was much loved.
Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Vickie, her husband Don Hoff, their son Jonathan, his daughter Cinnamon, her husband Bill Fischer, Chewie the dog, and innumerable friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Bernard, I, and Virginia Allen, and by his wife, Tamara Jane Bowman.
All are invited to bid farewell to Chuck Sunday, December 10 at Walker’s Funeral Home in Hillsborough from 5:00 to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Music Therapy Association, 8455 Colesville Rd # 1000, Silver Spring, MD 20910, www.musictherapy.org.
