Obituary of Marvin Dennis Carson

Pittsboro, NC - Marvin D. Carson, 75, died peacefully on March 9, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Carson was born in Orange Co. son of the late William Lemuel Carson and Nina Johnson Carson. Marvin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anne Carson, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Carson worked at UNC for 33 years as a delivery truck driver. Marvin loved the Tarheels and was a devoted Carolina fan. Some of Marvin's favorite hobbies were playing golf and watching old western movies. The family will receive friends at Walker's Funeral Home in Chapel Hill Tuesday, March 11 from 6:pm to 8:pm. Funeral services will be conducted on March 12, 2014 at 11:am at Rock Spring Baptist Church, 29 Rock Spring Church Rd. Pittsboro, NC, with interment to follow at Rock Spring Cemetery.
