Obituary of Doris Neville Bennett

CHAPEL HILL Doris Neville Bennett, January 20, 1926 - May 16, 2013, died in her home. She was born in Orange County to the late Robert and Myrtle Neville. Doris is survived by her son, Van Bennett of Chapel Hill; two grandchildren, Robbie Bennett and Shanna Bennett Kirkman; and two great grandchildren, Isaac McCullough and Tiffany Kirkman. The eldest of two children, she is also survived by her sister, Debra Neville Gooding. Doris worked as an accountant for UNC in Chapel for thirty years. She spent her life caring for those she loved and the elderly in the community. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday at Damascus Congregational Church, 522 Damascus Church Road, Chapel Hill. The Bennett family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM before the service. Interment will be held at Damascus Congregational Church Cemetery following the service.
