One of the spunkiest little ladies I knew passed away peacefully yesterday. She was 94 years old and made a chocolate pie like no one else. Rest in peace I love you and will miss you Grandma. - Amy

I was so sorry to hear about Ms. Porterfield. I have loved her all of my life at Mars Hill Baptist Church. She was a dear friend of Grace Perry, my grandmother. I just know they are visiting in heaven now. She was such a busy person, sewing, cleaning and cooking. She did not have idle fingers. I know many people will miss her most especially her family. I can still see her and grandmama sitting together in the same seats at church together. Blessings, Deborah Horne Kuypers
