PERSON COUNTY JANUARY 31, 2015 ROXBORO - William Edward Jordan, 77, of Roxboro, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Person Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Jordan was born in Roxboro, NC on March 21, 1937, son of the late Lambeth Branch, Sr. and Grace Eva Long Jordan and husband of the late Charlotte Irby Jordan. He was a retired mechanic and attended Theresa Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters: Kathy J. Lawrence and husband, Johnny of Durham and Cindy J. Wilkins of Hillsborough; brother: Bobby J. Jordan of Virgilina, VA; sisters: Frances J. Glasscock of Skipwith, VA, Alice J. Richardson of Burlington, NC, Peggy J. Carroll, Dorothy J. Porterfield, and Ann J. Carver all of Roxboro, Brenda J. Howerton of Clarksvillle, Va; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sons, Perry and Terry Jordan, daughter: Joan J. Janshego; brother: Lambeth "Sonny" Jordan, Jr.; sisters: Patsy J. Tillman and Betty J. Pruitt. Graveside services will held at 2 pm Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church by the Rev. Herbert Brown.
