Whitney Darrow Jackson

Chapel Hill - Ms. Whitney Meeran Darrow Jackson, 29, died unexpectedly in Whiteville, NC on Sunday, October 8, 2017. Whitney was born in Pusan City, South Korea. She was the daughter of Craig R. and Deanne D. Jackson, and the sister of Jonathan Jackson. She attended Chapel Hill High School and was currently working towards her CNA certificate and looking forward to a career in Nursing. She was a warm and loving young woman, with a radiant personality. She loved all animals, and was a born caregiver. She enjoyed the beach as well as photography, and was as caring and compassionate as she was artistic and creative. She left an impression on everyone she met. In addition to her parents and brother, Whitney is survived by her Aunts, Joanne Fox, and her husband, Richard, of Rochester, NY, Louise Lombardi of Agawam, MA, Ann W. Jackson, of Sandwich, MA, Elizabeth Jackson,of W. Springfield, MA; Uncle, William Darrow of Xenia, OH; many cousins, and numerous friends. Funeral Services will be private. The family will receive visitors at Walker's Funeral Home, 120 W. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Whitney's name to The Hill Center, 3200 Pickett Road, Durham, NC 27705, or to an animal shelter in your area.
