Virginia Boland

Cedar Grove - Virginia Wilkinson Hughes Wells Boland died Tuesday, December 24, 2013. She was a native of Orange County. She graduated from Aycock High School and attended Montreat College. She was married to Jack Wells for 39 years and John Boland for 25 years. She was a lifetime member of Eno Presbyterian Church where she played the organ and piano and served as Elder and Clerk of Session. She was a founding member of the Cedar Grove Quilters. She retired from Duke Medical Center after 25 years. Surviving are two daughters: Jane Wrenn and Martha Anne Wright; one son, Hugh Wells, four grandchildren and one great grandson. She was predeceased by her parents, Lois and Robert Hughes, her husbands Jack and John, and her son, Kenneth Wells. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, December 29, in Eno Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 1 PM Sunday in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Old Eno Cemetery Fund. Walkersfuneral@aol.com
