Vance Linwood Walker

V. Linwood Walker, 74, of Person County, transitioned to his eternal home on February 7, 2021, due to complications related to cancer. He was the son of Harvey and Myrtle Walker, both deceased. Linwood enjoyed being outside, tinkering with projects, carpentry, and fishing. Linwood is survived by children, Dennis K. “Pete” Walker, Marti W. Abee, Steven Walker, Sonya W. Dunevant, Daniel Walker and step-daughter, Tracey Price, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mourning the loss of Linwood are his siblings Forrest Walker, Tommy Walker, and Nancy W. Martin. Aside from his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Harvey “Pee Wee” Walker; brother, Dalton Walker; sisters, Willie Francis W. Futch and Betty W. Lee. Due to pandemic conditions and adhering to Linwood’s personal request, there will be no service. Linwood’s son, Pete, would like to extend appreciation to Linwood’s great-niece, Erika M. Amash, for the care provided in his end-of-life transition. Walker’s Funeral Home of Mebane is serving the Walker Family.
