Teresa Underwood

Teresa Wagner Underwood, 53, passed away March 18, 2016. She was born in Durham, NC on June 12, 1962 to the late Carolyn Watkins Wagner and Wayne Victor Wagner, Sr. Teresa was a lifelong resident of Orange County and graduated from Orange High School. She worked for CCB and Duke Hospital but spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring not only for her own children and grandchildren, but for all the children in the neighborhood who thought of her as "Mom". Teresa was loved by everyone who knew her and was able to see the good in everyone she came in contact with. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. In addition to her parents Teresa was preceded in death by brothers Wayne Victor Wagner, Jr. and Johnny Wayne Wagner. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 36 years James Underwood; daughters, Leslie Underwood of Hillsborough, Chasity Underwood of Hillsborough; son, Tommy Underwood of Hillsborough; grandchildren, Christian Mello, Bryson Mello, Abby Mello, Samantha Honaker and Andrew Honaker all of Hillsborough. Service will be 3 PM Monday March 21st at Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough. Burial will follow in New Sharon UMC Cemetery, Hillsborough. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 2:45 PM Monday at the funeral home.
