Theodore Suczynski

Mr. Theodore "Ted" Suczynski, 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2019 at his home in Durham. Ted was born on March 5, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Helen and Matthew Suczynski. He graduated from Marietta College and received his MBA from the University at Buffalo. He was married to Mary Beth Richardson Memorial Day weekend of 1978, this coming weekend they would have celebrated their 41st anniversary. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, cheering cheering them on in person or on TV. In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by his son, Matthew Suczynski, and his wife, Catherine, of Chapel Hill; daughters, Kimberly Smith, and her husband, Matthew, of Oakland, CA, Caroline Garvey, and her husband, Patrick, of Raleigh, NC; nine grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papa, Noah, Caelen, Emma, Owen, Chester, Clifford, Gannon, Iris, and Grace; brother, John Suczynski, and his wife, Liz, of Boothbay, ME; sisters, Christine Lark, and her husband, Bill, of Charleston, SC, Joanne Suczynski, of Charleston, SC. He also leaves behind his greatly loved dog, Wrigley. He was preceded in death by his dogs, Addison and Maggie. A memorial serivce was held on Saturday, May 25 at Chapel of the Cross, 304 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, 27514.
