Susan Hutchison Talbott

Susan Hutchison Talbott, age 75, died on May 3rd, 2022, at 9:02 a.m. Mrs. Talbott was born on January 20th, 1947, in Spencer, Virginia. Her parents were the late Edith Mae Roach and William Douglas Hutchison, and she was married to Baker Lee Talbott Jr. Susan graduated from Halifax County High School, and she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in History from East Carolina University. She also earned her master’s degree in Education from Longwood University, and she spent many years teaching at the Children’s Psychiatric Center in Butner. Mrs. Talbott was a loving spirit, a devoted mother, and a spitfire history buff whose thirst for knowledge never ended. She was a tar heel through and through, and a crossword wiz. She is survived by her son’s Lee and Willie Talbott; her daughter Leslie Sharkey; and her sister Hollie Lacy.

The Talbott family will receive family and friends for a visitation on May 7th at Walker’s Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
