Susan Kennedy

Chapel Hill Susan Elizabeth Kennedy, 63, died peacefully at her home. Susan grew up in Ridgefield, Conn. She graduated from Cary High ('73) and N.C. State ('77) and enjoyed tennis and working at The Herald Sun, Casual Corner and Spanky's, among others. Creative, fun and fiercely loving, she's survived by her children, Kate, Nick and Sarah Shefte, and big furry bodyguard Bowser. She also leaves behind dear friend Dan Shefte and brothers Stephen, Jon, Philip and Chris Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Betsy Kennedy. A funeral mass was held Wednesday, May 23 at 10 a.m. at her parish of 30 years, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 940 Carmichael Street on Chapel Hill.
