Stephen Barnes &Quot;Buck&Quot; Allen

Mr. Stephen Barnes Allen, 66 of Durham, NC passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Born in Richlands, NC and the son of the late Walter Dixon Allen and the late Dorothy Dixon Allen, Mr. Allen spent most of his life in Durham, NC after moving there with his family in August of 1963. He was educated in Durham City Schools. He spent many years working at Erwin Mills and the City of Durham, making many friends along the way. Survivors include a daughter, Lindsay Autry and a son, Jarred Allen, two grandchildren, Brooks Autry and Aubrey Allen. Mr. Allen is also survived by his four siblings, Don, Ray, Barbara, and Rick. He is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their “Uncle Buck”. Mr. Allen was a devout fisherman, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of life will be held at Walker’s Funeral Home Chapel in Chapel Hill on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 12 noon. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Walker’s Funeral Home, 120 W. Franklin St., Chapel Hill, NC 27516 in c/o funeral expenses. Walkers Funeral Home in Chapel Hill is assisting the family.
