Ruby Parker

Hillsborough - Ruby Lee Parker, 95, of Hillsborough, passed from this world on Sunday, February 9, surrounded by her family. Ms. Parker is preceded in death by her husband, Ira Lee Parker, Sr., and two grandchildren, Johnny Dean Wall and Sheliah Denise Parker, two brothers, James Combs and Elmer Combs, and sister, Irene Marley. She is survived by six children, Coleen Barbour of Durham, Lola Parker of Hillsborough, Doris Walker (Harold) of Rougemont, Linda Taylor (Bob) of Hillsborough, Mary Dean of Hillsborough, and Lee Parker (Teresa) of Hillsborough, twelve grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 15, in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Friday, February 14, in the funeral home and other times at her daughter's home at 3201 Shamrock Road. Pallbearers will be Brad Ciociola, Ricky Dean, Joshua DiPaulo, Kevin Nicholson, Reggie Parker, and Zachery Parker.
