Ross Kingsley

Dr. Ross William Kingsley, age 89, died on April 2, 2017 at his home in Durham, NC. He was born on October 26, 1927 in Erie, PA to the late William F. and Florence J. Kingsley. He was married to MaryAnne Rawa on December 26, 1955. Ross attended Erie Technical High School in Erie, PA. He served in both the Army and the Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He earned a degree in Commerce and Finance from Penn State University. He then attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1960. After completing an internship at Memorial Hospital in Sandusky, OH he established a general practice in Vermilion, OH where he practiced for 37 years. After retiring, he moved to Oriental, NC where he continued to enjoy his love of sailing and being on the water. He later moved to Durham, NC. He was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Oriental and then became a member of St. Benedict's Anglican Catholic Church in Durham. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, MaryAnne, his daughter Carla Kingsley, D.O. and husband John Ribic, D.O. of Helena, MT, his son Kurt and wife Evangelia of New York, NY. and daughter, Kimberly Kingsley and husband Andrey Tsigler of Hillsborough, NC, and his sister Kirsten French of Tucson, AZ. In addition to his parents, Dr. Kingsley was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Matts. Funeral Services will be held, 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 6, 2017 at St. Benedict's Anglican Catholic Church, Durham, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Benedicts Anglican Catholic Church in Chapel Hill or St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Oriental.
