Roger Bowden

Roger Howard Bowden, 72, a native of Chapel Hill, NC passed away after a brief illness, Tuesday, December 20th at his home with his family by his side. Roger is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Pierce Bowden, daughters: Kristie Bowden Cash of Chapel Hill, NC, and grandsons, Chase and Colin, and Karla Bowden Smith (Steve) of Apex, NC, and grandsons, Connor and Hayden Smith, a sister Judy Bowden Johnson (Worth) of Chapel Hill, a niece Tonda Herndon of Graham, NC and great niece Terri Herndon of Chapel Hill, NC, a nephew Robert Johnson (Wanda) of St. Cloud, FL. and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service to honor Roger's life will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Damascus Congregational Christian Church, 522 Damascus Church Rd. Chapel Hill. The family will receive friends, following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital for Children for Cancer Research, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
