Robert Williams, Jr.

Chapel Hill -- Mr. Robert Booker Williams, Jr., 64, died Saturday night at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Bookie is survived by his wife, Joni Whitt Williams, of Chapel Hill; son, Travis Williams, and his finacee, Elizabeth Doyle, of Asheville, NC; mother, Carolyn Wood Williams, of Chapel Hill, NC; brother, Todd Williams, and his wife, Robin, of LeGrange, NC; sister, Lori Blankenship, and her husband, Bill, of Apex, NC; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father, Robert Booker Williams, Sr. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at University Baptist Church, 100 S. Columbia Street, Chapel Hill. Dr. Mitchell Simpson and Rev. Albert Williams officiated. Burial followed in Westwood Cemetery, Carrboro.
