Robert Branscome

Robert Gerald "Jerry" Branscome, 71, passed away at his home on March 5, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his mother Frances Branscome Clayton and Marshall F. Branscome. He is survived by his wife, Jane Mangum Branscome, daughters Kristy Branscome Montana (Scott) and Tracy Branscome Lane, son Robert "Robbie" Branscome (Kim), 9 grandchildren and 4 great greatchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda B. King (Charlie), and Ann B. Mays (Butch) and brother Wayne Branscome. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and often referred to him as " the fun uncle ". He served his country in the U. S. Army and retired from IBM. He than began a second career with PHE, Inc. He enjoyed growing "mums" in his spare time but was most passionate about being a great father and grandfather. Visitation will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at Walker's Funeral Home from 7:00PM - 9:PM. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at 11:00AM.
