Penny Parker

Penny Wright Parker went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2016 at her home in Cedar Grove, NC. She was born on December 22, 1950 to the late Melvin and Margaret Wright. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Tommy Parker, children, Watt Parker (Erica Farmer), Terri Parker, and her beloved lab, Rosie. She is also survived by her cousin, Jane Fogleman; brother-in-law, Jimmy Parker (Judy), sister-in-law, Judy Parker, brother-in-law, Joe Parker; family friend, Iris Long, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and grand-dogs, Queenie and Grady. Penny is also survived by many beloved friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her aunts, Mavor Godfrey and Witt Fogleman, her uncle, Maurice Wright, her cousin, Jimmy Fogleman, and her infant brother. Penny will forever be remembered for her selfless service to others, her love of all animals, her dedication to her family, and her infectious laugh. A memorial service will held Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will also receive visitors at the home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a non-profit organization (of your choice) serving to protect animals. Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough is serving the Parker family.
