Peggy Sue Walker

Peggy Sue Walker age 92 passed away peacefully in hospice on May 13, 2022 in Durham, NC.

Mrs. Walker was born on October 13, 1929 in Hillsborough, NC to her parents Robert and Mittie Gattis. She graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1947. Active in several clubs she was also a Majorette in the school band. She married Norman Walker of the Caldwell Community in 1948.

The Walker’s established a home in the Caldwell Community, a farming family they raised six children there Gattis (deceased), Nicky, Brad, Robin, Norma Sue and Tim.

Both were members of the Little River Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and a loving mother to her entire family and to those who knew her.

Mr. Walker 92, her surviving husband still resides on the farm. She is also survived by a younger brother Ronald Gattis 81, of Wilson, NC. They have 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday May 16, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Walker’s Funeral Home in Hillsborough.

Funeral services will be held at Little River Presbyterian Church in Caldwell Community on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery.
