Mrs. Peggy B. Mustian, 88, passed away, Wednesday, March 17, 2021, peacefully at her home where she was born in 1932. Mrs. Mustian was the daughter of the late Charles and Eula Berry. She was previously employed by Croscill Manufacturing from 1957 to 1999. Mrs. Mustian was an active member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church her entire life. She especially loved welcoming new visitors with a homemade pie, and was an active member of the Quilting and Mary Martha's Ministries. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 24 years Lloyd Oakley and her second husband T.A. Mustian of 36 years, and by her four brothers, Charles Berry Jr, Petain Berry, J.T. Berry, Costen Berry and one sister, Charlotte Berry. Mrs. Mustian is survived by her son, Randy Oakley of Hurdle Mills; her daughter, Deborah Donnelly and husband, Neil, of Durham, NC; two grandchildren, Tyler Oakley and wife Emily and Brandi Oakley and wife Courtney; two great grandchildren, Charlotte and John Oakley; and three sisters, Alyce Barnes, Jeanna Green and Sylvia Overby. A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2 pm at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church cemetery with Pastor Laura Dunlap officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face coverings and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations be sent to Walnut Grove United Methodist Church General Fund. The Mustain family is under the care of Walker’s Funeral Home of Hillsborough.
