Peggy Crabtree

Hillsborough - Peggy H. Crabtree, 87, earned her wings Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Brookshire Nursing Center following an extended illness.. She was the daughter of Morris Holden and Ada Cates Holden Hurley. She was born in Orange County and attended the Orange County schools. She retired from Whites Furniture Company. She liked to crochet, cross stitch, and was talented in other crafts. She loved being with her family. She is survived by her children: Iris Crabtree Tilley (Bert), Morris Crabtree (Sherry), Johnny Crabtree, David Crabtree (Linda), Mark Crabtree (Melita), and Ricky (Rhonda) and daughter-in-law Ann Crabtree, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Crabtree , one son, Ronald Wayne Crabtree, two brothers, Buddy Holden and Roland Holden, and one sister, Vallie Gerdeman. The funeral will be held 2 PM Monday in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 PM Sunday in the funeral home.
