Pauline Batton

Orange County Hillsborough - Pauline Elizabeth Burton Batton, 92, died Saturday, April 11, 2015. She was born in Orange County and attended the Orange County schools. She worked at Cone Mills until she retired. She was the organist for 40 years for the Church of the Nazarene in Durham and Orange Counties. She loved her family. Surviving are her son, Anthony Batton (Betsy), three sisters: Phyllis B. Austin, Jackie B. Clayton, and Billie B. Horner, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Viola and Charlie Burton, husband, Douglas Batton, three sisters: Dot. B. Andrews, Doris B. Wilson, and Faye B. Hinshaw, two brothers: Bobby Burton and Adrian Burton. The funeral will be held 2 PM Wednesday in Lawrence Road Baptist Church by Pastor B. J. Keaton. Burial will be in Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30-1:50 PM Wednesday in the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alamance-Caswell Hospice. Walkersfuneralservice.com
