Nicholas Depietro

Nicholas (Nick) Phillip DePietro, most recently of Austin, Texas, died suddenly on December 5, 2018, at the age of 24. Nick was born in Smithtown, NY, the beloved son of Henry and Monica DePietro, and lived there until his family moved to Hillsborough, NC in 2004. After graduating from Cedar Ridge High School in Hillsborough, Nick went on to attend Savannah College of Art and Design where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. In 2017, Nick moved to Austin, Texas where he worked as a designer at IBM. Nick is survived by his parents, Henry and Monica, and sister, Michelle, all of Efland, NC. He is also survived by his paternal grandfather, Henry DePietro, Sr., adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents Heinz and Gerda Licht, and Florence DePietro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either National Suicide Prevention Lifeline or NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Once a venue and date have been finalized, the information will be available here. The DePietro family is under the care of Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill.
