Nancy Riggs

Nancy Jane Riggs, 72 of Cedar Grove joined our heavenly father on April 4, 2015 at UNC. She was born January 10, 1943 in Kanawha County, WV to the late Margaret Manahan and Albert Tury. She loved her garden, painting and watching the birds and deer in her backyard. She was warm, kind, generous and loved her family unconditionally. She was beautiful inside and out and will be missed by all that knew her. She was retired from UNC Hospitals and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Michael Patrick Crowl of Oak Island, NC, Robert Lee Crowl of Ramseur, NC, David Wayne Crowl of Cedar Grove, NC, Matthew John Madill of Henderson, NV; Daughters Angela Renee Cork of Graham, NC, Jacqueline Marie Pitkin of Snow Camp, NC; sisters, Janet Marie Bunker of Meridian, MS, Rebecca Ellen Goodnough of Winthrop, NY; brother, John Wayne Tury of Heber Springs, AR; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A mass will be held at 2 PM on Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with Monsignor Steven Worsley as Celebrant. Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough is in charge of arrangements.
