Mitchell Thompson

Hillsborough - Mr. Mitchell Forrest Thompson,53, died January 28, 2016. He was born in Durham County and attended Chatham County Schools. He worked in construction. He liked to hunt, fish and butcher hogs with his uncle Norman Thompson with whom he was very closely bonded. He was a master knife sharpener which was needed in the butchering process. Surviving are his father, Adron Thompson (Becky), his mother, Nancy J. Love (Charlie), three sisters: April Thompson, Kerry Thompson, and Renee Dickerson (Gary), two brothers: Madison Thompson (Dee Dee) and Morris Thompson (Kathy), three aunts, four uncles, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by grandparents: Bill and Pansy Thompson and Newton and Mable Johnson, and four aunts. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Keith Spake and Pastor David Bolick. Burial will be in Gospel Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery.
