Minnie Tripp

Chapel Hill - Minnie Stallings Tripp, 86 of Chapel Hill, passed away, Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Mebane Ridge Assisted Living in Mebane, NC. Minnie was born May 6, 1930 in Duplin County, NC to the late James Malcom and Clydie Winders Stallings. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Durham, NC and was retired from UNC Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband Kemp Bunion Tripp of the home, two sons: Tony Malcom Tripp and Michael Wayne Tripp, three grandchildren: Nathan, Amy and Joy Tripp, two sisters: Lucille S. Kelley and Shirley S. Lewter and two brothers: Winfred James Stallings and Richard "Skipper" Allen Stallings. The family will receive friends and family, Friday, June 17, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill, 120 W. Franklin St. Chapel Hill, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Rev. Robert Weatherly officiating. Interment will follow at Markham Memorial Gardens, 4826 Trenton Rd.
