Mildred Laws

-Durham- Mildred Louise Shipp Laws, age 81, a resident of Mebane, NC died on August 11, 2014 at Duke Medical Center in Durham. Mildred was a native of Durham. She married A.B. Laws in 1966 and moved to Orange County. She worked at Durham Drapery until she retired. She loved fishing, dancing and Rock & Roll. She was a sweet and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, A.B. Laws of Mebane; three daughters, Sheryl V. Clement and Tommy of Durham, Louanne L. Thompson of Graham, June L. Thomas and Mark of Graham; two sons, Tony Vowell and Lisa of Henrico and Tommy Vowell of Durham; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mildred was predeceased by her parents and sister Dorothy Blake. Visitation will be from 12:30PM to 1:45PM prior to the funeral services at 2:00PM on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough is honored to serve the Laws family.
