Mary Walters

Hillsborough - Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Walters, 85, died Monday, July 18, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Corneva Lee and Simon David. She and her husband, Dwight Walters were married for 67 years. She was employed by the State of NC for 36 years and retired as Deputy Superior Court Clerk. She was a member of Hillsborough First Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband Dwight Walters, her daughter, Mary David Gary (Charles), three sons: Dave Walters, Jim Walters (Dawn), and Jack Walters, one brother, Simon David, one sister, Kay Mercer, three grandchildren: Lisa Petersen (Matt), Darla Gary and Ava Walters, and great granddaughter, Lyla Petersen. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday in Hillsborough First Baptist Church by Dr. Randy Carter. Burial will be in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery.
