Mary Patrick

Mary Olive Patrick (née McGrath) died on January 13, 2017 in Durham, North Carolina. Ms. Patrick was born on May 14, 1919, in Wyandotte, Michigan to James Joseph McGrath and Verna Marie Burdeno and was married to Joseph Patrick. Mary went to Saint Patrick's High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Marygrove College in Detroit. She worked for many years at Central Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Survivors include her children, Mary Jo Reiter (Minneapolis, MN), Sharon Patrick (Chapel Hill, NC), Clare Olson (Olympia, WA), Katherine Patrick (St. Augustine, FL), Michael Patrick (Madison, WI), Judith Martin (Lodi, WI), her brother, Robert McGrath, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Patrick, and her siblings Shirley Ann McGrath, Verna Marie Nestor and E. Quirk McGrath. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Irish International Immigrant Center (www.iiicenter.org) or the Wyandotte Historical Society, 2610 Biddle Avenue, Wyandotte, MI 48192. Walker's Funeral Home of Chapel Hill is serving the Patrick family.
