Mary Lowder Love

Mary Evelyn "Mel" Lowder Love, 91, passed away on Wednesday January 25th, 2017 of natural causes in Chapel Hill. She was born in Norwood, NC, June 12, 1925, the daughter of Emma Henshaw and Maude Lowder. Mel attended Phifer College, receiving her degree in home economics in 1946. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Love and survived by her son, H.D. Love and granddaughter Wendi Love. Mel was an avid golfer and bowler. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at Markham Memorial Gardens. Flowers are welcome; please send to Walker's Funeral Home.
