Marvel Robinson

Loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother Marvel Ann Joneschiet Robinson, 78 of Leasburg, NC passed away at UNC Healthcare Tuesday August 12th. Marvel was born, December 3rd 1935 in Murdo, South Dakota to Lotis and Warren Joneschiet. She married Otho Cecil "Robbie" Robinson in Sioux City, Iowa and has been married for 56 years. Marvel retired as a civil servant from accounting and finance at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base after 30 years. Marvel is survived by her husband, Robbie Robinson of the same residence, Daughters; Lisa Riggsbee and Husband Burke Riggsbee of Chapel Hill, Diane O'Dell and Husband Steve O'Dell of Pittsboro, and Grandchildren; Zach O'Dell of Wilmington, Tyler O'Dell of Pittsboro and Jordan Riggsbee of Chapel Hill, and brother Merlin Johns of Steilacoam, Washington. She is predeceased by her daughter Sheri Robinson. Marvel's main interest and focus has always been family. Her sense of humor and wit was always welcomed and enjoyed by everyone. Marvel enjoyed UNC Basketball and Atlanta Braves baseball and could talk the games and players with anyone. She was a true joy to have on this earth and will be greatly missed. Services will be provided by Walker's funeral home of Hillsborough and will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday the 16th. In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
